Ijams Nature Center takes on a different vibe every Friday and Saturday night through the Navitat at Night. After dusk, the lights turn on, and you can play in the treetops until late. There’s nothing like playing in the treetops surrounded by stars and twinkling lights. We think it’s a romantic way to spend an evening!
If you’re not adventurous, how about grabbing a cocktail at one of the rooftop joints in town? You will have a stunning bird’s eye view of the city at night, quality vibes, and loads of fun.
The drink is not necessarily about drinking — but why not? It’s another chill location where you can go on a dinner date. It’s comfortable and offers a laid-back atmosphere with delightful meals, perfectly mixed cocktails, music, and a friendly crowd.

If you love animals, a zoo date is perfect for you! Who says you can only visit the zoo during the day? The famous Zoo! Knoxville occasionally offers nighttime events that will spice up your evening date. Few things can beat an evening stroll with your loved one while seeking out some native wildlife.
Enter Mabry Hazen House to save the day with Night at the Museum. It’s your chance to look at 130 years of Knoxville history and marvel at one of the largest collections of family artifacts in the US. You can also enjoy self-guided tours and behind-the-scenes access to the bottom floor from 7:30 pm.
The museum also provides a fire pit and cornhole. You can bring blankets and camp chairs and enjoy a casual atmosphere as you and your loved one drink a bit of Knoxville history.
