Knoxville Holiday Events – 5 Events You Won’t Want To Miss
‘Tis the season in Knoxville. It is the time of year for epic holiday shopping adventures, holiday parties, gatherings with family and friends, and enjoying the holiday cheer. The greater Knoxville area has many holiday events for residents to enjoy, here are few Knoxville holiday events that you won’t want to miss this 2014 holiday season.
Come take advantage of Market Square’s full sized ice rink in the heart of downtown. The rink is open from Friday, November 28th until Sunday, January 4th. Admission is $10 for adults and $7 for kids. Admission includes skate rental and unlimited time on the ice.
Regal Celebration of Lights
The Regal Celebration of Lights takes place on Friday, November 29th at 6 p.m. in Market Square and Krutch Park. WDVX will host entertainment on the Market Square stage. There is also Christmas caroling, lighting of the downtown Christmas tree, and free activities for kids.
This year is Pigeon Forge’s 25th annual Winterfest, which begins in November and runs through February. Winterfest celebrates the winter season in Pigeon Forge through a wide array of events. But, the best way to take advantage of Winterfest during the holiday season is to enjoy their spectacular light displays on a trolley tours.
The Fantasy of Trees takes place this year on November 26th to November 30. It helps raise money for the East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Throughout the weekend there is a wide variety of events, including live music, dancing, and other entertainers that help raise money for the event. The event is held at the Knoxville Convention Center.
New Year’s On The Square
There is no better place to celebrate the new year in Knoxville than in Market Square. On Wednesday, December 31st come to Market Square to celebrate the new year. There is live music, festival foods, and fireworks and a countdown at midnight.
