Knoxville Named One Of The Best Midsize Cities for College Graduates

Knoxville has once again topped a national list. This time Knoxville has been named one of the best midsize cities for college graduates, by mylife.com. On the list of best midsize cities for college graduates Knoxville ranked #2.

In order to determine what midsized cities were best for college graduates, mylife.com use a wide range of criteria. First, they considered the amount of residents between 25 and 34 with bachelor’s degrees or higher. They also considered the average price of rent, unemployment percentage, and the number of bars and restaurants per capita.

Knoxville ranked as one of the best college cities for college graduates for a number of reasons.  Two of the large reasons Knoxville ranked high was due to a low unemployment rate and a low cost of living. In addition, Knoxville has plenty to do in addition to just being a “college town.” Downtown Knoxville has a vibrant nightlife as do other areas of Knoxville. With a large range of restaurants, a locations close to the Smokey Mountains, and a number of sports teams, Knoxville has no shortage of activities for new college graduates.
