The fair aims to create a space for indie vendors who are carefully selected based on their creativity and friendliness to showcase their products. The marketplace features vintage and modern wares and other merch from South East’s artists. In addition, there are arts and crafts sessions and food trucks for the family to enjoy. Drop by Mill and Mine on Sunday, November 20, from 11 am to 6 pm for a fun-filled afternoon.
Knoxville Expo Center, 5441 Clinton Highway – (865) 687-3976
The annual Christmas Fair is in its 40th year of providing affordable gift purchasing from local vendors. They also hold holiday-inspired activities like a kid’s visit with Santa. The shopper’s paradise opens on November 11 at the Knoxville Expo Center. Shop until you drop off from 2 pm to 8 pm. The last shopping day is November 13 from 12 pm to 5 pm.
World’s Fair Park, 525 Henley Street
The East Tennessee Equality Council founded the Knox Pride in 2006 to represent and reach out to the LGBTQ+ community. They hold events like the Knox Pride Homecoming, the biggest Pridefest event in the state. The 3-day event kicks off on September 30 with a colorful parade followed by booths for food, fun, and equality. You may contact the organizers here for more information.
World’s Fair Park
The 1982 World’s Fair Anniversary commemorates the international energy exposition from May 1 to October 31. The historic event was America’s last successful global expo held at what is now called the World’s Fair Park. Since the expo, the legendary Sunsphere and theater have been two of the park’s famous symbols.
