Knoxville Restaurant Week 2015 – Dine Out For A Great Cause

Knoxville Restaurant Week 2015 starts Sunday, March 1st and runs through Friday, March 6th. Knoxville Restaurant Week gives residents a great opportunity to dine out at a reduced price for a great cause.

Knoxville Restaurant Week helps raise money for Second Harvest Food Bank, with $5 from every meal donated to the organization. Many local restaurants participate in Restaurant Week, making it a great opportunity for residents to try out new place to eat or visit an old favorite.

Second Harvest Food Bank helps feed over 158,000 hungry people each month in their 18 county area. Second Harvest Food Bank is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to feeding the hungry through church pantries, group homes, shelters, and local kitchens. It also helps serve KARM,Loves Kitchen and the Salvation Army.

There many local restaurants participating in Knoxville Restaurant Week 2014. Each restaurant will serve a specific menu that ranges between $30 and $40. Each meal includes a soup or salad, a main course, and a dessert. Customers get to enjoy a great three course meal at a much lower price, while $5 from each meal goes to benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank.

-Atlantic Roll – tempura fried shrimp, avocado and spicy aioli topped with salmon, ponzu, scallion and sambal
-Boston Roll – snow crab, avocado and cucumber topped with tuna, avocado and sambal
-Soy Joy Roll -spicy tuna, seared albacore, cucumber and tempura crunchies wrapped in soy paper and topped with fantasy sauce, eel sauce, wasabi aioli and scallion
– Orange Crunch Roll – ebi shrimp, avocado and snow crab topped with salmon, tempura crunchies, eel sauce and orange juice
-Crispy Veggie Roll – tempura fried asparagus, gobo, cucumber, daikon sprouts and kanpyo wrapped with tempura fried sweet potato and avocado
-Currydon – choice of panko fried pork or corn starch fried tofu with red onion, red pepper, carrot, granny smith apple, honey, scallion and Japanese curry sauce served over rice
-Scallop Crab Cake – handmade scallop-crab cake served with Asian slaw, carrots, snow peas, sriracha & spicy aioli
3 Course (Dessert):
Mochi – red bean, chocolate, vanilla, coffee, strawberry, mango or green tea served with kiwi, mango, pineapple, fried gyoza and raspberry sauce
Nama Truffle – chocolate truffles with coconut milk, raspberry sauce, golden pineapple, kiwi, mango, fried gyoza and pocky sticks
Mousse – a Japanese sweet potato mousse with whipped cream, seasonal fruit and sweet potato chip covered in honey-orange syrup
